How to apply

All higher education institutions funded by HEFCE are eligible to apply. Consortia of institutions and representative bodies may also apply, but will need to identify an HEI through which funds can be routed. Where relevant, we would expect HEIs to demonstrate in their application that they have the active support of the relevant professional bodies. Further education colleges directly funded by HEFCE are not eligible to apply as lead institutions, but may benefit from a project in collaboration with a lead HEI.

All proposals should address:
  • the identification of (not an account of) existing relevant good practice, in HE or elsewhere, or the lack of it
  • a summary of how the project would benefit the higher education sector
  • a short description of how the project will be managed
  • an indicative budget with a plan of how the money will be spent
  • an indicative list of partner HEIs and organisations.
